A kind soul on Tumblr transcribed a TV Guide interview with Vlamis and Tyler, and it's so flipping adorable, I had to put it here.

Michael: We start as two scared boys, and we end as two scared men. (Laughs adorably and looks at Tyler) Not much changes, you know?
Tyler: I like that! (Tyler smiles and points at Michael)
Tyler: All around, the response has been really good. (Looks at Michael. Should we start a drinking game? Should we take a shot each time they look at each other with fondness?)
Michael; (gestures to Tyler) We were talking about this earlier, we are now Malex.
Tyler: Yeah, hashtag Malex
Michael: We’re an item. They shipped us. It’s been fun.
Tyler: And that is an important thing to have, actually, you have to have a ship name, you know? (They look at each other, look at the interviewer, and look back at each other. I need some whiskey.)
Tyler: And they gave it to us after the first episode. So I think we’re doing something good.
Michael: This is my first ship name ever, too.
Tyler: Ever.
Michael: I’d say the relationship we built on screen was very organic. It just worked from the get-go.
Tyler: Yeah
Michael: (Looks at Tyler) And also, as an actor, Tyler Blackburn, who I was a fan of before I got to work with him (GRINNING at the interviewer. I’m dead.)
Tyler: (Shaking his head and grinning)
Michael: It’s true, it’s true! I told you that.
Tyler: (Smiling and laughing. KILL ME)
Michael: Um, you just look in this dude’s eyes and you know everything he’s - your very open.
Tyler: It was just symbiotic. It was almost just like an unspoken understanding that we were just going to go for it and I feel like we both understood their dynamic and there was no other way to play it besides longing and passionate (Michael’s looking at Tyler and I am not okay). I mean that kiss was ten years in the making.
Michael: Right
Tyler: And I think, there’s no other way to have that translate.
Michael: It’s fun to like portray love when there’s that much tension. (Looking at each other. Fuck.) Because love is already tense. And then when you have this backstory like we do which you guys find out as the season progresses, it really all comes to a head.
Tyler: And I think it’s really great that the writers have really chosen for this relationship to be so passionate because it’s not that common to see - especially in mainstream television - to see LGBTQ characters just depicted so human and raw and real.
Michael: We’ve never - I don’t think anyone on the show has ever looked at it as gay, bisexual anything, it’s just a relationship and love in like its purest state.
Tyler: Truly you learn everything.
Michael: We really do divulge everything. (REALLY? TELL ME MORE.) As the season progresses. You see why we are the way we are, why we may have some reservations, why there is so much love (I’m a puddle on the floor, making high pitched wailing sounds)
Tyler: And it’s interesting too because we’re one way in high school, like our characters change so much throughout that decade after high school and that’s really fun too it shows maybe why the attraction was there so much initially and why it’s so important ten years later after being estranged for basically that entire time.
Michael: I think it is interesting too seeing what kind of love they share, seeing them as they are in high school, and then seeing them today ten years later and it’s still that palpable (LOOKING AT TYLER)
Tyler: I know. Magnetic.
Michael: That was a fun thing to explore.
