Hi everyone. I'm Tas. I used to post a lot at the original RF board, starting from when it was Jen's board. Same username, pretty much everywhere fannish, lol.
I'm excited about the reboot and loving it so far! Different to OG, of course. But I had my cognitive dissonance moment when I read the books, between S2 and S3 of OG. So I feel alright about going back to the books and taking it in a totally different direction.
Also, I'm enjoying them being adults.

Hi Tas!!! Welcome I think I remember you, though I am sure you won't remember be (I posted as Jull_ana, but was much of a lurker at the time). You had some amazing stories!!! I'm glad you're enjoying the new show... I wasn't expecting to like it at all, and only watched it by accident. Now I am once again obsessed - even writing fanfic, go figure. I also think making them adults brought something completely new and exciting to the table. Anyway, I'm so glad to have you with us. Enjoy the board!!

I'm so pleased that another OG RF member as arrived! Even more so that you were a member waaaay back when it was Jen's board. It makes me feel really excited and happy for this new series, as it appears to be really touching some OG fans in ways that we probably wouldn't have been open to if the reboot aired 15 or so years ago. I'm loving it so far, and enjoy seeing their lives as adults, too! Also...definitely a fan of yours, so welcome welcome welcome again! And I hope you like what we're trying to accompish here.

I just have to tell you how excited I am that you joined us. RachelEm and I just shared a bit of a fan girl moment via text about it. We loved your writing on the original board. I’m like you, really loving the reboot so far. I think that comes from reading so much AU fanfiction, as well as the original book series. To me, this is like an AU story being brought to the screen... my fanfiction dream come true! I love seeing them as adults, and I love the possibilities for where they can take this story. Thank you for joining! We’re so happy to have you, and I hope this can bring all of us a little feel of the old board and that community again.

Awww, thank you! Yeah, Forging was my epic, lol. I just posted on the OG RF thread about where I'm getting the eps, as I'm in the UK and God only knows when it'll air here properly, if ever. And yeah, I'm obsessing hard on RNM

Really? Where in the UK? I'm here too, I live in Leamington Spa. I just bought myself 3 years of VPN so I could watch the episodes on Wednesday morning - I gave up on waiting for anyone to buy the rights to the show here. And I am hardcore teenage-level obsessing over the show. I never thought I would have an OTP that wasn't Max & Liz, but Michael and Alex have dethroned them in the new series. It's ridiculous - I am a grown woman, I should not be having a hard time going to bed because I'm having in depth discussions over a fictional couple, but alas... It's great to have you around

Hi,
Jules sent me the link to this forum, so I figured I'd come and say hi . I'm Kirsten and I'm also an OG Roswellian . I watched the OG show here in the UK when it first aired (Jan 2000), though I lost track of it a bit when I started university in 2001, as I did was aired on cable and I only had the 5 terrestrial TV channels. However, I got back into the show again in 2004 when I lived in Albuquerque, NM for a year and visited the real Roswell (I wanted to see how the OG show compared to the real thing). I found the RF forum in late 2004/early 2005, and started writing and posting Roswell fic in July 2005. I wrote Roswell fic pretty much constantly until late 2010, but then I started my career job and stopped writing. I made a brief foray into reading Twilight fic, and then got into Vampire Diaries, which led me to Supernatural! I wrote a few short Supernatural fics between 2011 and 2015, but had pretty bad writer's block. However, in December 2015, I discovered Veronica Mars and have been writing VM fic ever since .
I have been watching the new Roswell, NM show, although I'm still on the fence about whether I like it or not... I'll keep watching though, and see how it develops . It's weird though, because the TV channel 4Music just started airing the OG show every day - so I'm switching between watching old season 1 episodes and watching the new show episodes .

*waves* hi Kirsten! Yay, UK represent! Welcome.
I noticed that 4Music was airing OG too. This is actually the second cycle - I caught Graduation around Xmas and then they started again at the beginning after the holidays.

Welcome, Kirsten!! This is Jules, by the way. It’s okay if you’re not crazy about the show (yet) - we get to talk about it and divergent opinions are always welcome (I, for example, cannot stand the cowboy hats 🤠). I hope you enjoy it here, and I need to find your Veronica Mars fic now, because I miss that show like crazy.

Welcome, heavenli24! I'm so excited for another OG Roswell member. We totally get being on the fence about show. It's a hard transition, but so far I'm loving it. Thanks for joining us!!

Hello everybody, I'm eury (eurydike in full) from Switzerland, found the link to this board on Tumblr and felt like joining. When I first heard of the Roswell reboot a few weeks ago, I didn't feel too enthusiastic, but as soon as I got to watch it, I was sold. It's not that I was a huge fan of original Roswell twenty years ago, I still used to watch it now and then though, had a crush on Max and Isabel and found the show quite alright. I'm not one of those people who refuse to give Roswell NM a try as a matter of principle and out of loyalty (a friend of mine is like that which is pretty sad because I was hoping we could do some fangirling together, but who knows, maybe she'll see reason one day, hopefully soon... ). Anyway, I love the reboot and find it surprisingly appealing and exciting (most probably because they're troubled adults now and have quite some baggage to carry), I have even lost my heart to Michael Guerin, who would have thought. Nice to meet you all!
